The European Training Consortium in Public Health and Health Promotion (ETC-PHHP) organizes an annual summer school focused on developing practical and theoretical tools to enhance health promotion strategies in Europe. The course which is held each July/August, is conducted at post-graduate (Master) level and constitutes 200 hours of formal study. The learning approach is based on salutogenic principles using a global perspective.
Since the first summer school in 1991, about 724 participants from 32 European and twelve non European countries have participated. The summer schools in Cagliari 2003, Galway 2004, Perugia 2005, Zagreb 2006, Düsseldorf/Wageningen 2007, Bergen 2008, Cagliari 2009, Magdeburg 2010 and again Zagreb 2011 were held in collaboration with The European Masters Programme in Health Promotion.
29th ETC-PHHP Summer Course 2021: Salutogenesis for Community Health and Wellbeing.
The European Training Consortium in Public Health and Health Promotion (ETC-PHHP) invites all those interested in public health to the 29th ETC-PHHP Summer Course, hosted by Medical University of Lodz. The title of our summer course is Salutogenesis for Community Health and Wellbeing.
This year’s course will be taught in an online space where participants and tutors will explore: salutogenesis as a framework to understand how to improve the quality of life for community health and wellbeing; meaningful resources in and by communities; participatory approaches to strengthen communities’ health and wellbeing.
We welcome participants from different fields of health promotion, public health, local government, NGO and health care professionals, including people from sectors such as urban planning, academia, social work, research, management, practice and policy.
