ETC-Summer Course

The European Training Consortium in Public Health and Health Promotion (ETC-PHHP) organizes an annual summer school focused on developing practical and theoretical tools to enhance health promotion strategies in Europe. The course which is held each July/August, is conducted at post-graduate (Master) level and constitutes 200 hours of formal study. The learning approach is based on salutogenic principles using a global perspective.

Since the first summer school in 1991, about 724 participants from 32 European and twelve non European countries have participated. The summer schools in Cagliari 2003, Galway 2004, Perugia 2005, Zagreb 2006, Düsseldorf/Wageningen 2007, Bergen 2008, Cagliari 2009, Magdeburg 2010 and again Zagreb 2011 were held in collaboration with The European Masters Programme in Health Promotion.

Important Announcement!

We regret to inform you that the ETC-Summer Course has been canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic. For the first time since 1991 we have to cancel the summer school.
However, it’s a pleasure for The European Training Consortium in Public Health and Health Promotion (ETC-PHHP) to invite you to participate in the 1st online Concha Colomer Symposium on the July 20, 2020 (8th Concha Colomer symposium) titled:

Covid 19 and Health Promotion – Time for change in Europe

It’s a free open-access symposium organised by international health promotion experts from 11 different countries.

The Symposium will include topics like empowerment, the role of the community, gender, responsibility and solidarity during and after the pandemic. Besides, interesting workshops are given.
